The founders of familymind are parents, tech experts, and family health advocates who understand the challenges of modern family life. Their mission is to empower families with innovative solutions that reduce stress, promote equality, and strengthen relationships.
By helping to improve the situation of families, they are changing society for the better. For this reason, familymind was supported in its product development via the Social Impact Republic in the Digital Product School.
Familymind aims to provide tools to build healthier, more resilient lifestyles and believe families deserve a balanced, connected, and stress-free life. The idea originated when co-founder and CEO Rosaria Di Donna, experienced the difficulties of balancing work and family. Coming from that point, they started with a simple question:
Wouldn't it be great if family life was less hectic and parents could achieve real work-life harmony?
Many families struggle to manage daily tasks, leading to unequal distribution of responsibilities, emotional overload, and burnout. For example, in 63% of families, one parent manages most routines. Women spend 1.5 hours more daily on unpaid family tasks, and 80% of mothers carry the bulk of household responsibilities.
Organisations and companies also struggle to support working parents, with only two out of ten mothers returning to their original job after parental leave, leading to talent retention challenges. In the end, families face mental overload due to task overload, unequal workload, and a lack of effective tools.
The solution: A digital AI-powered family companion designed to streamline family management.
The app aims to share the family management workload more equally, encourage real-time communication, and ensure all family members can contribute. The goal is to make tasks more manageable.
It is user-friendly and integrates into daily life, offering insights to enhance family dynamics. It optimizes schedules with task allocation and reminders and automates mental load tasks.
Artificial Intelligence is central to the solution, providing personalized solutions. The platform uses Large Language Models (LLMs) to create a multi-AI agent system that organizes user thoughts into actionable plans. The AI chatbot adapts to the family's needs. The app is cross-platform, using AI backend services.
The Artificial Intelligence even can plan events, like a birthday party, by answering questions and providing an action plan. Tasks can be added to a family planner.
familymind is offered through organizations (B2B2C) and directly to families (B2C), ensuring all parents can access tools for better family management.
familymind aims to be the go-to platform for families and organizations, according to their value proposition: "Life is hectic. Family doesn’t have to be."
