Want to learn more?
Interaction Designers (IxD) understand how users and technology communicate with each other and focus on designing engaging interfaces with well-thought-out behaviors. They work to create user-centered and engaging experiences that enable users to accomplish their goals in the most effective and enjoyable way possible.
High responsibility for a product’s success
The introduction of a digital product often means that users have to change their habitual behaviour. But they will only do so if the new process is intuitive, joyful and easier, and faster than the previous one. This means that designing the users' interactions with the digital product is a key factor for its success! And this is precisely the responsibility of an interaction designer.
T-shaped experts
Outstanding and successful interaction designers must be able and do more than "just" creating beautiful visual designs. They must know and understand the target group, they have enough technical knowledge to challenge the engineers on what is feasible, they have communication and collaborations skills to work in a cross-functional team and they have a keen eye on details.
Especially understanding and empathizing with the needs and behaviors of users is crucial. Interaction Designers should be able to put themselves in the users' shoes and design intuitive and easy-to-use solutions.
